The idea of the Tour is to build something prestigious, but also to create a loyalty system for people to travel to all the stops and to give an incentive to choose one of the EBGT stops over other tournaments when they pick an event to attend.

Over the years, many improvements have been done, with and without online sponsors.

In 2013, we have had a real European Tour with stops in Turkey, Cyprus, Germany, Switzerland, Gibraltar, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Malta, Denmark.

We have qualified 18 players, a combination of stop winners and top performers of the Point Race to a Grand Finale.

During this Grand Finale, all players will have to play and beat the best performing ones in order to cash ina FT-Swiss Format, created by the World Backgammon Association and applied on all tournaments of WBA.
